These sentence scrambles provide meaningful practice for students in literacy centers, small groups or for early finishers. They are aligned with the Journeys Unit 2 Reading Program but can be used with any literacy program.
There are 6 sentence scrambles for each of the 5 lessons, 30 in all, 5 weeks of activities for word work, or literacy centers. Student recording sheets and answer keys included
Low Prep, print on colored cardstock, cut out, and keep them together in an envelope or I use binder clips. Each sentence has matching clipart to make it easy to stay organized, even for littles.
I have these in our word work centers and also use them with my guided reading groups. My students love these sentence scrambles. They are a hands-on way to engage with phonics skills.
The sentence scrambles can also be printed at a reduced size on regular printer paper. Have students cut them out and glue them in their interactive notebooks for morning work or small group warm-ups.
