Here is a quick tutorial on how to take a single page from a multipage printable resource into a digital activity.
First, always make sure to check the Terms of Use on any resource before you do this to make sure you aren’t in violation.
I just finished a multipage pdf resource for my store with 30 pages of activities. I only want to assign one page to my students as an activity so how do I do that? Well, you need to know how to take a screenshot from your computer screen. On a PC the magic buttons are these three: SHIFT, Windows Key, S Key. Hold down all three keys simultaneously and crosshairs will appear. Hold down the left mouse button and drag to create an outline around what you want to copy.
This will place your screenshot on your clipboard. I have Seesaw open and then within the activity creation area, you simply click CTRL V or paste. The image will appear on the screen just like that! I resize the image, lock it into place, and then assign it to my students. Literally, it takes a few minutes.
Here is a quick video that walks you through the process –
This is the new resource that I used in the video, 30 pages of Sight Word Word Search puzzles. The sight words are indexed at the front of the resource and include Answer Keys. I use these for both remote and in-class teaching. They are perfect for Choice Boards, Morning Work, an activity for Sub Plans, and early finishers. They are available in both my TpT store or here in the Blog Shop.
I hope you find this video helpful and as always, let me know if you have any questions!
