Create an eye-catching bulletin board to celebrate student birthdays for your classroom
Birthdays are a special day for all of us, but especially for young students. To recognize and celebrate each of my students birthdays, I created this Birthday Bulletin Board Kit.
This resource includes large letters to print on colored cardstock, numbers from 1-31 and all the months of the year. I print all the pieces on Astrobrights card stock and leave a small edge around each letter outline. It is quick to put together and a great focal point for our classroom. We take our birthday month photos during the first week of school which helps students get to know one another and which of their classmates share the same birthday month.
Never forget a birthday!
Our summer birthday students choose a month within the school year so we have the opportunity to celebrate everyone’s special day.
Birthday crowns are made out of glitter border, we sing and have treats at the end of the day. I have a chair cover with a felt cake on it and the birthday student chooses a special pencil and receives a raffle ticket for our Friday drawing.
Student photos are taken during the first week of school using my phone and then sent them to be processed using the Walgreens app. Once I get the prints back I bubble cut around their heads leaving a flat edge on the bottom and staple them into the correct month.
